If you’re anything like me, you may have been swept into the phenomenon known as “Fixer Upper!”
Joanna Gaines’ style is taking over the nation with it’s farmhouse-chic style and so much reclaimed wood. Though our styles are not exactly the same (I’m a bit more girly and parisian), I’ve enjoyed keeping up with her ideas since it’s such a prevalent look these days. I do my research and find the most current trends and ideas in case my clients want to incorporate ideas into their decor! I’ll pretty much always veer to the timeless and classic looks, but here’s a few looks I liked from Fixer Upper and the Gaines’ home store, Magnolia, in Waco, Texas.
This fun craft room was a great example of not being too serious (I talked about this in my own home on the last blog)...The Pantone colors on the wall are a great way to feel inspired!
How pretty is this dining room?! And, if you saw the before photos, well...they did an amazing job! It’s so inviting and the mix of dark and light woods and textures is really fun to look at. I love the color white and incorporate it often because of it’s relaxing quality. Joanna uses quite a bit of cream and white as well in her rooms.
Lastly, I loved the peek from her blog into this renovated kitchen! Lots of white (which made my heart happy, obviously!, and a fun island and metal lamp made it a beautiful inspiration room.
